Hand Painted Cakes

Ok, so it’s no surprise, I’m a little addicted to cakes, but Im also a huge fan of painting. No Im not thinking the painting your dinning room a bright shade of yellow painting, Im thinking more of a beautiful piece of art painted by someone with creative skill you might hang in your dinning room kind of painting. The great thing is hand painted gorgeousness does have to be limited to canvas, how about your wedding cake!

Here are some amazing examples of hand painted cakes that I think prove the cake medium is a great one! How amazing are the Maggie Austin cakes…a wish I had her talent, its breathtaking.

The next three phenomenal cakes are by one of my favourite cake artist’s Maggie Austin. Everything she makes I find inspiring and her fashion cakes really blow me away. Even if you aren’t in the market for a cake, you should check out Maggie’s cakes anyway.
