For most people valentines day evokes images of heart shaped chocolates and roses, but if you used colours to the describe the day it would have to be red and white…and today I have the perfect engagement shoot to share with you which totally rocks red and white details. Just look at those cute polka dot shoes.
The fabulous Nikki Meyer was the photographer behind Riana and Christoff’s colourful shoot. I asked Riana where she got her inspiration for the theme…”the car was my fiancee’s uncle’s and the whole theme developed to fit to the car’s style. So I chose to do red and white in a green nature setting. We wanted bright engagement photos as our wedding is simple, clean lines with just white, silver and a light sage green. If these photos are anything to go by the wedding is going to amazing!
Riana and Christoff have been dating 5 years. Riana is a city girl from Pretoria in South Africa who went to study in Stellenbosch (in the Cape for those whose geography knowledge is as sketchy as mine) where she “met the love of my life – a “boerseun” from Moorreesburg whose family are wheat farmers in the district. He proposed on his farm in the wheatfields in August last year and it was the perfect setting with sunset, fire burner lanterns and a table set for 2 with champaigne and snacks! This is where we would start our lives together with the YES I gave him, and one day stay on that farm and raise our children there.” Congratulations to this super cute couple. Can’t wait to see wedding.
For those of you that don’t speak Afrikaans “Ons Gaan Trou” means We’re Getting Married! This picture would be perfect for a Save the Date.
