The colours in this wedding are gorgeous! Often people go for pastel tones, but Marisa and Wynand show just how effective bold pinks, turquoise, purples and greens can create an elegant and beautiful wedding. Marisa’s bouquet is stunning and the idea of having the contrast of simple lavender bunches for her bridesmaids was a wonderful idea.
The fantastic pink car looks like it just came off the set of Grease and works excellently as a backdrop with the mountains for a few formal shots. Nikki Meyer Photography has once again captured the detail and excitement of the day beautifully.
The details really get a thumbs up from SYW and I’m now on the hunt for those amazing rectangular vases used in the centrepieces. So pretty!
How would you describe your wedding day?
It was perfect in every way. The day before it was rainy, cold and miserable in Albertinia. And somehow my mom & dad pulled strings in heaven and the day of our wedding the sky was clear & blue, the grass was bright green and everywhere small flowers popped up. The perfect canvas for a celebration of love.
What was your favourite part of the day?
Getting into my dress and when I walked down the aisle in the church and the look and smile on my husband-to-be Wynand’s face.
Words of wisdom for couples planning their wedding?
Forget about what everyone else wants. This is YOUR day. Make it about you and the love you share.
What was the best advice you received for your big day?
The mood of the bride sets the mood for the whole wedding. So relax, breath and enjoy this very special day.
Is there anything you would change?
I wish my mom & dad could have been there. Other than that I loved every second of it. We were surrounded by family and friends, what more could one ask for.
