Christine and Ben have been together since high school and tied the knot last in September last year. The wedding was held at the beautiful GreyFriars Mansion in Surrey and everyone looked like they had a wonderful day!
All the black and red detailing looks fab, its a great colour scheme and fit in perfectly with the setting. Thanks to Ben from Benjamin Wetherall Photography for sharing these fabulous photos!
How would you describe your wedding day?
Quite surreal as it was something I was planning for over 18 months so it didn’t feel real when the day finally arrived! Overall though, it was a fantastic day.
What was your favourite part of the day?
The speeches were brilliant. But also it was really nice in the evening when all the formalities were over to relax and properly enjoy it.
Any words of wisdom for couples planning their wedding?
Be aware that some venues are literally just that, a venue and do not provide wedding packages. So you will have to do all the legwork i.e find all the suppliers yourself and liaise with them until the big day which can be really full on! But on the flip-side you will end up with a really personal, bespoke wedding.
What was the best advice you received for your big day?
Take a moment out, just you and your partner to stand back and take it all in. It will probably be the only time you get to yourselves all day.
Is there anything you’d change?
Wear my shoes in before the day! After the lunch I ended up taking them off as they were pinching and I never put them back on again including the first dance!
