Spring is definitely in the air and Michael and Soretha’s bright South African wedding brings all the joy of spring to life. The reception venue is just gorgeous! I love all the pastel colours and quirky details and the fabric ceiling is so effective, it gives the room a wonderfully rustic feel. I also couldn’t not mention the bubbles instead of confetti, love it!

How would you describe your wedding day?
The most perfect day! It was wonderful…the weather was perfect, the food was amazing and everything went smoothly. It was a colourful, joyful day.
What was your favourite part of the day?
Our favourite part of the day was when we walked out of the church. Finally married, seeing all our family and friends smiling at us and the beautiful bubbles we had as confetti.
Words of wisdom for couples planning their wedding?
Don’t stress about everything it is really not worth it! Be calm before the wedding, don’t freak out about things you still need to do, you will get to it. Manage your time, don’t try and do everything at once. Let other people help you if possible. On the day if anything goes wrong, just accept it and enjoy it!! Something that really helped me was an aromatherapy massage. I don’t know what they used, but I was so relaxed the night before and on the day.
The best advice you received for your big day?
Marriage is hard, sometimes you have to work at it but it’s the best thing in the world.
